Roommate from HELL!

"Staying in hall with Yenn is almost like being married to her, except without the sex."
~ Aki, to another friend

Sexual innuendo aside, [Aki ducks the flying kick from Yenn] staying with someone else in an unfamiliar environment for an extended period time does test all kinds of things about your relationship with that other person.

First thing we had to get used to was the fact that Yenn was a light sleeper. A very, very light sleeper. Which meant that if I got up early before her, and made breakfast, I had to be beli, beli careful or I'd wake her with the sounds of the crackling milo packet, the stirring of the spoon, and the bump as I accidentally hit my chair. It also meant that if I committed any of these sins I would soon feel her bolster thumping me at the back of my head.

So you get used to each other's idiosyncracies and weird habits. LIke my fondness for propping my feet up on the chair or even table when I worked. Or getting up in the morning to see Yenn wrapped up like a corpse in her blanket. [seriously, head to toe] And I'm pretty thankful that as of now, we haven't driven each other mad to the extent that we've killed each other in our rooms.

THEN I saw this link in someone else's blog. And I THANK ALMIGHTY GOD that neither of us are as bad as this particular roomie.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Roommate from Hell
